Memorials

 

Anyone wishing to give a one time memorial may do so as follows:

  • A donation of any amount to the Foundation will be listed on our memorials page.  The donor and the memorial recipient will be listed. Upon the receipt of a memorial donation, the Foundation will send a letter of acknowledgement to the person designated by the donor to receive the notification.
  • A donation of $500.00 or more to the Foundation shall establish a memorial bearing the honoree's name and shall be awarded to the school activity designated by the donor and in accordance with the Foundation's by-laws. 
  • Plaques bearing the names of permanent and one-time memorial honorees will be placed in a Permanent Memorial Area in the Fordyce Schools.

Anyone wishing to establish a permanent memorial bearing the name of a Redbug may do so as follows:

  • A donation of $2,500.00 or more to the Foundation in honor of, in memory of, or in the name of the donor shall establish a permanent memorial bearing the honoree's name and may be added to at any time and in any amount.
  • The initial donation and all subsequent donations to this fund will be invested in a permanent account bearing the honoree's name, and the interest only will be used to fund selected activities of the Fordyce Schools. The principal shall remain intact and in the account of the Fordyce Redbug Alumni Foundation. 
  • The initial donor shall designate the school activity to receive the interest earned by the investment. The interest earned from permanent memorials will be released to the designated recipient when the amount reaches a figure deemed appropriate by the Foundation or as otherwise directed by the initial donor and at the time designated by the by-laws. (Permanent memorials are often used to fund scholarships bearing the honoree's name, e.g. The John Jones Band Scholarship.) All permanent memorials shall be awarded as the Fordyce Redbug Alumni Foundation memorials, e.g. The Fordyce Redbug Alumni Foundation John Jones Band Scholarship. All permanent memorial scholarships shall be awarded through the Fordyce High School Scholarship Program.

Honorariums

 

Anyone wishing to give an honorarium may do so as follows:

  • An honorarium donation of any amount to the Foundation will be listed on our honorariums page.  The donor and the honored will be listed. Upon the receipt of an honorarium donation, the Foundation will send a letter of acknowledgement to the person designated by the donor to receive the notification.
  • A donation of $500.00 or more to the Foundation shall establish an honorarium bearing the honoree's name and shall be awarded to the school activity designated by the donor and in accordance with the Foundation's by-laws.
